Regional Knowledge Network

A central resource for information on the binational Buffalo Niagara region

Compare select places in the binational region across multiple topic areas or generate a comprehensive data profile for a single place in the region

Some places have more data available than others, with data currently most limited for Southern Ontario. Due to data incompatibility across the international border, a limited number of variables are available for binational comparisons.

Compare Communities

Create customized regional, county-level and municipal comparisons for the entire binational region. Comparison include regions (binational Buffalo Niagara, Western New York, Southern Ontario), counties (8 counties of Western New York, 2 census divisions of Southern Ontario), and municipalities (264 municipal-level jurisdictions - 16 cities, 169 towns containing 77 incorporated villages and 2 townships).

Compare School Districts

Compare data across topic areas for Western New York’s school districts, or view data for a single school district.
